HASTKALA — key view

01 — Overview

A retail interior for handcrafted products made from natural materials. The design translates the simplicity of handmade craft into the spatial experience through natural materials, modular displays and visual openness.

02 — My role

Project design and individual contribution stated separately

  • Concept development
  • Space planning
  • Retail display and furniture design
  • Sectional development
  • 3D visualisation
  • Physical prototyping

03 — Concept

Inspired by the warp-and-weft logic of hand weaving, the display system uses wood and rope to create a modular framework that adapts to different products while maintaining visual continuity.

04 — Design approach

An open layout creates continuous circulation and allows products to remain visually accessible from multiple points. The modular display system provides flexibility while reinforcing the handcrafted identity of the brand.

05 — Materials and lighting

Natural materials and simple construction details create a warm and understated retail environment.

06 — Design outcome

A simple and adaptable retail environment where materiality, display and circulation work together to communicate the essence of handmade craft.
